A Florence wedding born over a few beers: Lapo, a free spirit and manager of the Lion’s Fountain, and Paola, just as free-spirited, gave us unforgettable days in the heart of the city.
The proposal, the pre-wedding shoot and the “I do” at Palazzo Vecchio
It was Paola who proposed to Lapo, and she told me so herself, at the bar, adding that I would be their photographer. That is where it all began.
We did the pre-wedding shoot around the Duomo, the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio: unique emotions, with Florence as the backdrop. The wedding was celebrated in the Sala Rossa of Florence City Hall, in Palazzo Vecchio, by Mayor Dario Nardella, followed by lunch for everyone at Piazzale Michelangelo.
For the portraits we climbed up to San Miniato al Monte. Their love was so strong you could feel it in the air: just look into their eyes in these photos. Find out why you should have a pre-wedding shoot before your wedding.
