The venue’s organisation was, as always, impeccable, leaving us free to focus solely on the people. Fabio’s Sardinian spirit shone through from the morning: you can see it in the black-and-white photos of the preparations, with him smoking in front of a football goal while his father is on the phone, an image worth a thousand words.

During the party, friends revived the cutting of the groom’s tie, a tradition not seen for a while that had everyone laughing. These are the moments reportage loves most: spontaneous, unexpected, real.

The pre-wedding shoot in Cagliari
