Inspired by Vinicio Capossela's famous song, with its hot, sultry rhythm that every couple in love knows. Alessandro and Sandra know exactly what we're talking about. You can read it in their eyes and their expressions. An understanding that needs no words: words made superfluous by glances that speak every language in the world and break the usual rules of communication. I was lucky enough to do an engagement session with them and, as a photographer, I must say that when I meet a couple as in love as they are, my heart opens and, strangely, my camera produces images that surprise even me.
Shyness in front of the lens: how do you overcome it?
As soon as we arrived in Ravello, a true jewel box overlooking the stunning UNESCO-listed Amalfi Coast, their first words at the sight of the camera were: we feel awkward, it's strange having our photos taken. A perfectly normal reaction; sometimes even professional models need a moment to get acquainted before they start working. My answer was: relax and pretend I'm not here. Little by little the ice melted and they literally forgot I was there.
Are they posing?
Absolutely not: all the images you'll see at the end of this article are completely spontaneous, the best way to capture carefree, happy moments.
