Winter wedding: Alessandro and Marika

Getting married in winter

A winter wedding in Irpinia

The wedding we are about to share is that of Alessandro and Marika. Citizens of the world, they found their footing in Grosseto. She has Irpinian roots, he is from Matera, and they met while studying in beautiful Siena.

Alessandro and Marika decided to marry in December, a very cold time of year. They chose Villa Regina as their venue, a villa reminiscent of the Royal Palace of Caserta. Impeccable service and food. The scarce winter light made the shoot delicate and intimate: a soft light that caressed the couple, the ideal situation. The outdoor portraits were taken at Castello d’Aquino in Grottaminarda, a location that lends itself beautifully to this kind of shoot in any season.

The mix of colours and the couple's outfits took everything far from the typical summer wedding, where heat and strong sunshine rule. The season they chose reflects the couple's spirit: gentle, intimate and deeply in tune.
