Couple above the rooftops of Florence, reportage-style wedding photography

Free guide for couples

The wedding photography survival guide

In short: a short free guide, written by Raffaele Inglese of My Happy Wedding, to help you feel at ease in front of the camera on your wedding day: how we work, why the pre-wedding session helps, what it means when you see us doing strange things, how we plan together and what happens afterwards, right up to the album. You receive it by email by filling in the form below.

Why we wrote it

Wedding photography, explained without the stress

Almost every couple tells us the same thing: “we’re not photogenic”, “we don’t know how to pose”. That’s exactly why we wrote this guide.

Our style is wedding reportage: we tell the story of the day as it is, with just a few discreet suggestions. In these pages we explain, with a touch of humour, what to expect and how to enjoy the day without thinking about the camera.

What’s inside

Seven short chapters to read together

The goal

To make you forget there’s a camera at all, so you’re free to be yourselves.

No acting required

Because with us you don’t have to pose to look photogenic.

A little preparation

What the pre-wedding session is for, and why it helps more than you think.

If you see us doing strange things

Kneeling, climbing, wide-eyed: what it means, and why it’s a good sign.

Photo tricks

No black magic, just experience: light, angles and small suggestions that make all the difference.

Planning isn’t boring

A chat before the wedding avoids surprises, drama and your uncle standing in front of the cake.

The printed finale

Album, prints and video: how we go through everything calmly before printing, without stress.

About the guide

Is the guide really free?

Yes. Leave your names, email and, if you already know them, your wedding date and venue: we’ll send you the download link, with no obligation.

How do I receive the guide?

By email, with a personal link to download the PDF. The link is valid for 7 days: if it expires, you can request it again from this page.

Will I receive a newsletter or advertising?

No. We only use your data to send you the guide and, if you wish, to answer your questions about your wedding.

Who is the guide for?

For couples getting married who don’t love being in front of the camera, for those choosing their photographer and for anyone who wants to understand how a reportage-style wedding shoot works.

Does the guide cover the timing of the day?

No, and not by chance: the timing of the wedding is always decided together, based on the ceremony, the venue and the season. The guide explains how we do it.
